Designed the complete visual identity for the Japan Foundation Touring Film Programme 2025. Am I right? Justice, Justification and Judgement in Japanese Cinema, the UK's largest Japanese film festival, is running across venues nationwide.
PROCESS
An in-depth research was conducted on this year’s theme to fully grasp its meaning, exploring various motifs that could visually represent its deeper concepts.
Simultaneously, layout ideas were developed through sketches, aiming to create a design that highlights the essence of the theme.
Main Visual
Of the three design concepts presented to the client, the rightmost design was selected. The main visual depicts a two-tone human silhouette, symbolising the conflict between “good and evil” or “right and wrong.” A finger in the lower left represents “Judgement,” supporting the process of “Justification,” while ultimately holding up a scale symbolising “Justice.”
